SocialErasmus is an international project which was created in 2008 by ESN Poland. It aims to promote social attitudes among young people participating in the student exchanges. Project based on voluntary work aims to integrate work, which aims to integrate international students with local communities. This introduces long term changes in society and gives students the opportunity to look at the realities of the country in which they live from a new perspective.

SocialErasmus enriches the international student experience, allowing you to understand the local social problems and the most suitable ways of resolving these. Moreover, it shows how easily young people can contribute to the improvement of society, as citizens of the world.

The main projects of SocialErasmus are:

Euro Erasmus in Schools

The programme educating students in local schools. Foreign students present what their adventure with mobility looks like and talk about the differences between cultures of Europe. Thanks to the project, many kids  develop and want to learn about the world. Youth and children broaden their horizons, the desire to study languages increases, and by that their intercultural toleration grows. Programme has patronage of many institutions like: Narodowa Agencja (Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji), Eurodesk, Fundacja The Bridge and PROM.

Erasmus in Schools

The programme is the foundation for Euro Erasmus in Schools programme and it is organized for many years. In 2019 10.442 pupils from european countries took part in this event.

Erasmus Forest

For the first time the project was organised in 2008 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Erasmus+ project in Poland. It symbolises the new generation of conscious Europeans taking care of their own education, health and the environment in which they live. Erasmus Forest’s main activity is planting trees together and contributing to the growth of wooded areas in Poland. The events which are a part of the project are organised in cooperation with State Forests organisations which allows integration by the bonfire and getting to know the environmental problems from the viewpoint of foresters.

Erasmus Hall

The project’s goal is to enlive the space for children. The Erasmus+ students together with local members of ESN create ultimate murals and graphics, making rooms for the youngest more attractive. The event has taken place at many schools, kindergartens, nurseries, daycare centres and hospitals in the whole country and lots of places throughout Europe. Erasmus Hall is organised to make the grey reality a bit brighter and more colourful. The main purpose is to create friendly conditions at medical facilities so that children could forget, at least for a while, about struggling with diseases.
